It took me some time to find chickweed to grow on my UK allotment, and I really love it! It self-seeds in my polytunnel now. I was introduced to it many years ago by a woman who ‘sang the angels’ and made a chickweed salad. I thought it was very odd, at the time… I’ve never before read much about it but always felt chickweed was special, and I really appreciate your words here and look forward to getting to know this friendly plant better.
